WHOOP WHOOP! VIDEO IS UP! I don’t really understand how my camera was perfectly fine and then turned into a blurry disaster on youtube, but there yah go. please comment and subscribe ;)
hello darlings, long time no talk huh? sry things have been a little hectic on my end, but i finally had time to post and take a view snap shots for you. I have alot ALOT to say/tell you so forgive me if this is an extra-ordinarily long post.
I feel like I have been (quite literally) watching my hair grow. So! they go back into the twist. I feel like the low manipulation of the style definately helps me retain length, and I don’t touch the twist for about 2 or 3 weeks.[Good]
The coconut milk in my hair has been so strong, my hair is acting a little frizzy and hard to comb through (ive been cutting back on the protein and just mainly sticking to GHE method and sometimes bagging with oil overnight). These twist are actually extremely fuzzy so I had to make a new batch of flaxseed gel. At one point I actually put honey on my hair as a leave in (dont know what was going through my mind) and good lord I swear I thought I would have to cut off all of my hair. [BAD!]
So the Twist/Braid/Bun for Growth Challenge (1/1/2012-3/31/2012) is coming to an end (dont know why my keys are bold but apartently is doesn’t want me to take it off so watevs!) And its been super good, mostly because my goal was to keep my hair tucked as much as possible to protect the ends and stopped the weather from breaking my hair! I noticed with these twist their hanging a little lower than usual! [VERY GOOD! :D]
Alright I think thats just about everything, talk to you soon darlings!

P/S- Im thinking about starting a youtube channel but ehhh not sure :kanye shrug:
Haha, so remember when i put my hair up into that cute bun yesturday…yeahhh…
Today my hair instantly went into loc, mode. Pieces that i thoroughly detangle just up and knotted on itself. Now my hair really prefers being in twist and braids. It gets stretched properly (stretching the hair=anti single strand knots), and it just feels a ton better. I mean my hair feels kind of soft now, but ohh the look: absoutely lifeless. no color, totally dull. AND i could easily douse my hair in coconut oil (which i did!) and it still looked dull, it legitamently look really course and hard looking.
Its crazy because literally 2 months ago, all I did to my hair was put it in a ballerina bun! I swear i can never try anything new cause my hair’ll either:
- Like it soo much I can’t do anything else with it.
- Like it for a while and then decides it wants absolutely nothing to do with it.
This goes for styles as well as products, and to be honest with you I didn’t feel like retwisting my hair this week! I have a lot of hair and it takes alot of time. For now its resting in 6 flat twist (and it doesn’t help that i can’t flat twist to save my life. )
So! To give my hair what it wants (clump-age and stretch) and give myself what i want (a break!) Im gonna put in some yarn braids. Which’ll mean since im using extension I’ll have to drop out of my challenge! BOOO!!!
This sucks cause I was actually really into it, just got lazy along the way 0:3
Oh well! I never yarn braided my hair before/did extension so this’ll be interesting. Will be on the search for black and pink acrylic yarn (or pink…or yellow ehh Ill figure it out when i get to walmart ;))

Hey hair beauties! I finally took down the mini twist unfortunately I only lasted a week with them in. After I washed my hair it still continued to attach to itself, so I had to take them down :(. I also discovered that since the twist were so tiny it took forever unraveling them and I got tons of knots. Its not such a great idea for me to do mini twist…like ever again.
I dc with my Nourish conditioner and added an egg, honey, olive oil, and tiny amount of coconut oil (L.O.V.E.) and my hair loves me again. Since I can’t really have my hair out I re-twisted into a lot kinder, bigger twist and put them into two buns :).
On a better note though! I was browsing around LHCF and found a new challenge that sounds like my cup of tea! Info below:
No hiding the hair;
No wigs, no weaves, no extensions, etc.
This challenge is for twist, braids and buns on your own hair. This is not a hide your hair challenge.
